Answer:
Correct answer is that this is the result of activity of missionaries.
Explanation:
After Europeans discovered the New World, Catholic church insisted that missionaries should be sent to spread Christianity between the Natives. Many religious orders, including the Jesuits were sent to do this. And the results were amazing, as even today most of the people in this areas are Catholic.
The same goes with Buddhism as the Buddhist missionaries, the so-called Dharma Bhanaks were spreading the religion across these areas.
The dominance of Christianity in Latin America and Buddhism in Southeast Asia is a direct result of cultural diffusion, which occurs when an idea is spread from one culture to another.
To better understand the process of cultural formation of the peoples of Latin America and Southeast Asia, it is necessary to look at the historical construction of these locations.
Brazil, for example, is a country in Latin America that was colonized by the Portuguese who instituted the Catholic religion in the country through Jesuit missionaries who sought to convert the natives who lived there.
Therefore, it is through cultural diffusion that ideas, behaviors, technologies and information are shared from one culture to another.

Name the river that the Hebrews settled nearby in Canaan
Answer: Canaan, area variously defined in historical and biblical literature, but always centered on Palestine. Its original pre-Israelite inhabitants were called Canaanites. The names Canaan and Canaanite occur in cuneiform, Egyptian, and Phoenician writings from about the 15th century BCE as well as in the Old Testament. In these sources, “Canaan” refers sometimes to an area encompassing all of Palestine and Syria, sometimes only to the land west of the Jordan River, and sometimes just to a strip of coastal land from Acre (Akko) northward. The Israelites occupied and conquered Palestine, or Canaan, beginning in the late 2nd millennium BCE, or perhaps earlier; and the Bible justifies such occupation by identifying Canaan with the Promised Land, the land promised to the Israelites by God.

Earthquake
Fault
Himalayas
Subduction zone
To:
When one plate goes under another
Brake in the crust
Caused by continents colliding
Occurs when a fault slips
Answer:
Earthquake - Occurs when a fault slips
Fault - Brake in the crust
Himalayas - Caused by continents colliding
Subduction zone - When one plate goes under another
Explanation:
The earthquakes occur when a fault slips if we talk about earthquakes that occur at transform boundaries. Basically, the fault slips deeper because of the big pressure it causes on the crust below, and as it does and hits slightly lower it releases huge energy.
The faults form when the crust breaks, and this happens at transform boundaries. Depending on the pressure that will cause the crust to break, they can be caused by vertical or horizontal pressure.
The Himalayas are the tallest mountain chain in the world, and they have formed when two continental plates collided, those plates being the Eurasian and Indian ones.
Subduction zone is a zone where one tectonic plate moves below another tectonic plate, with the denser and lower (or simply much smaller one) goes below the less dense and higher positioned (or simply much larger one) plate.

A
convergent
B
earthquake
С
equator
D
divergent
Answer:
The teacher is demonstrating a convergent plate boundary.
Explanation:
A is correct because this type of boundary is characterized by two or more plates moving toward each other and pressing each other, with the smaller ones gradually moving below the larger ones.
B is not correct because the earthquakes are a consequence of the plate boundaries and their activity.
C is not correct because the equator is simply an imagined line that is separating the northern and southern hemispheres.
D is not correct because the divergent plate boundaries are the ones where the plates are moving away from each other.

Where are possible solutions to reducing the level of CO2 in the atmosphere
Answer:
more electric cars
less huge cow farms
less use of fossile fuels
Explanation:
Answer:
Solving climate change is a huge international challenge. Only a concerted global effort, involving the governments of all nations, will be enough to avert dangerous consequences. But that said, the individual actions of everyday people are still crucial. Large and complex issues, like climate change, are usually best tackled by breaking down the problem into manageable bits.
For carbon emissions, this means reducing the CO2 contribution of each and every one of the six and a half billion people on the planet. But what can you, as an individual person or family, do that will most make a difference to the big picture? Here are my top ten action items, which are both simple to achieve and have a real effect. They are ranked by how much impact they make to ‘kicking the CO2 habit’.
1. Make climate-conscious political decisions. Some commentators said that the 2007 Australian Federal election was the first to be strongly influenced by the stance made by competing political parties on climate change. Regardless of how true this may be, it is obvious that the strong and urgent action needed to combat climate change will require a healthy dose of political will, and the courage to make tough choices. This willpower comes from voters, who consistently demand real action and can see through ‘greenwashing’ (pretend ‘solutions’ and half-measures that do not do the job). Climate change should be a totally non-partisan issue since it affects all people and all countries. If climate change is not perceived by both sides of politics as a ‘core issue’, it will inevitably be marginalised by apparently more immediate concerns. So assess policies clearly, and make your vote count towards real climate solutions – each and every election. This is the only way a global solution can be put in place, in time.
2. Eat less red meat. Traditional red meat comes from ruminant livestock such as cattle and sheep. These animals produce large amounts of methane, which is a greenhouse gas that packs 72 times the punch of CO2 over a 20 year period. Other types of meat, such as chicken, pork or kangaroo, produce far less emissions. At average levels of consumption, a family’s emissions from beef would easily outweigh the construction and running costs of a large 4WD vehicle, in less than 5 years. There is no need to cut out red meat entirely, but fewer steaks and snags mean far less CO2.
3. Purchase “green electricity“. The future of energy clearly likes in renewable sources such as solar, wind and wave power and ‘hot rocks’. Even without climate change, there are limits to available oil, natural gas and coal. ‘Green power’ is electricity that comes from these technologies, but is delivered to you in the same way as ‘dirty power’ from fossil-fuel burning. That is, down your power lines. You can buy enough to replace your entire energy usage, or some fraction (I recommend going for 100%; the cost is a few more cents per kilowatt hour of electricity). Most energy suppliers now offer this service and will purchase energy from green sources that is equivalent to what you use. As more people take up this scheme, it will drive ever greater investment in these technologies, reduce cost of delivery, and so further hasten the pace of update. It’s a feedback, and you can be the catalyst of change. [Note some problems with GreenPower here]
4. Make your home and household energy efficient. We all unthinkingly leave lights on when we are not in the room, or switch off the TV by the remote instead of at the wall, fire up the heater on when we could put on an extra layer of clothing, or turn on the air conditioner when we could open the window and turn on a fan. It’s force of habit – a bad habit we can break, with just a little thought. Behaviour change lies at the heart of most individual actions on reducing our individual carbon footprint. By being sensible about your use household energy use, and making sure your house is well insulated, you can make a huge dent in your CO2 emissions. Oh, and it will save you plenty money that you no longer spend on wasted energy, year in, year out.
5. Buy energy and water efficient appliances. Aside from behavioural change, we can invest in more sensible technologies that help us in our day to day lives. When buying new electronic appliances, air conditioners or washing machines, look at their energy and water usage. The more energy efficient they are, the more they’ll save you in the long run, and the lower their CO2 impact will be. In most cases the ‘payback period’ – the difference between the initial cost of a high versus low efficiency appliance and the long-term savings in lower electricity and water bills, is only a matter of a few months to a few years. After that, you are laughing all the way to the bank, and doing something meaningful to combat climate change at the same time.

Answer:
Oceanic plate being destroyed
Explanation:
The convergence at this margin between the oceanic pacific plate and the Continental South American plate causes subduction here.
At this margin, there is crustal destruction.
As the denser Pacific plate subducts under the less dense continental crust, it is increasingly destroyed. Most convergent margin of this type leads to the destruction of the crust. Usually, on an adjacent side, there is a mountain building. Basically, at this margin, the most important thing is that the crust is being destroyed.6. Write a description. Questions to consider: how is India a subcontinent? What does this represent?
Answer:
India can be considered as subcontinent because it has a large area, has physical defining boundaries, and lies on a separate tectonic plate.
Explanation:
India is often referred to as a subcontinent. While this may come as confusing, it is actually simple if we apply the basic geographic rules that would define a landmass as such. In order for a landmass to be considered a subcontinent, it has to be clearly defined with physical boundaries, to have a very large area, and to be situated on a separate tectonic plate from the one it is connected with.
India has clear physical boundaries from the rest of Asia, with high mountain ranges, such as the Himalayas and Pamir, being the dividing line. The area that India accounts for is similar to that of Europe for example. Last, but not least, India lies on its own separate tectonic plate, the Indian plate, which has colided with the Eurasian plate tens of millions of years ago, thus giving an impression that it is one, not two separate plates.
Below are two parallel lines with a third line intersecting them.
