How does the narrator establish a conflict between her Mexican identity and the English-speaking country she lives?

Answers

Answer:

There is a steep contradiction between her Mexican identity and the English-speaking country. Her name in English stands for hope while in Mexican, it suggests muddiness, bad luck, and sadness. The narrator says that Mexican identity does not provide her that strength to become what she wanted to be(like her grandmother) as it considers her bad luck but the latter allows her to be more 'real' and thus, she wishes to immerse herself into her new name and identity.

Answers

Answer:

Number 1

Explanation:

A fragment sentence does not have a subject or/and a verb.

Looking at the schedule one of the following is a sentence fragment.

What is a fragment?

The fragment contains a number of distinct components: A sense of community is extinct in today's culture, which is becoming more and more fractured. Only because the Republican Party is so divided has the Democratic Party managed to stay in power. Disconnected is an antonym.

Sentences with gaps are called fragments. Fragments are typically sentences that have lost their connection to the main clause. Removing the period from the main phrase and the fragment is one of the simplest methods to fix them. For the newly joined sentence, additional sorts of punctuation can be required.

A word group known as a fragment is one that does not fully communicate a notion or lacks a subject or verb. A sentence fragment is an unfinished structure that strives to stand alone. It isn't actually a sentence, despite what we would claim.

You can use text evidence to back up what type of interpretation you have of a theme. Like the theme “Challenge’s can be overcome with hard work and patience” if your interpretation of the theme is that the theme Challenge’s can be overcome with hard work and patience means that when you have obstacles and challenges that you need to overcome. Having patience and being doing hard work can help you overcome your obstacles/challenges. Then you can give an example by using text evidence. As a senior prefect in 7r school write a letter to the principal pointing out at least two practices that should be discouraged among student and two habits that should be promoted among teachers.

Answers

Answer:

A letter to the Principal.

Explanation:

To,

The Principal,

ABC School,

12.02.2020

Subject: Practices to be discouraged and habits to be developed among students.

Respected Ma'am,

With due respect, I John Markley, the Senior Prefect, want to mention the practices that should be discouraged among the students of our school. The two main practices are- bringing mobile phones in the school and the getting aggressive very frequently. These days, it has been observed that some students are bringing mobile phones in the school and instead of attending classes they sit in the playground to use their mobile phones. This practice of keeping mobile phones in the school premises is very dangerous to the future of students. It has been also noted that the students get aggressive when they are asked to submit their mobile phones.

However, there are two habits that we should develop in our students to make them better citizens. These are- to tell a truth in all circumstances and never take a short-cut for success. We should develop the habits of speaking the truth and never take a short-cut to become successful among our students. Short-cuts often lead to the wrong paths and more problems to achieve the goal. Therefore, the teachers should organize some events to better know their students and develop new and better habits among them.

A more focus on the above points will make a difference between ours and other school's students.

Thanking You

Yours truly

John Markley (Senior Prefect)

Answer:

Explanation:The Tell-Tale Heart’ is a Gothic novel in miniature. All of the elements of the Gothic novel are here: the subterranean secret, the Gothic space (scaled down from a full-blown castle to a single room), the gruesome crime – even the hovering between the supernatural and the psychological. In just five pages, it’s as if Edgar Allan Poe has scaled down the eighteenth-century Gothic novel into a story of just a few thousand words. But what makes this story so unsettling? Closer analysis reveals that ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ centres on that most troubling of things: the motiveless murder.

Answer:The Tell Tale Heart

By: Edgar Allen Poe

Claim: The storyteller believes that he is not crazy although he is.

From the beginning the narrator was attempting to convince the reader that he was not crazy although he was bothered over his neighbors eye. The pace of the story-line began from the narrator admitting how he had a bad feeling whenever the old man's vulture eye looked at the narrator but didn't think that the narrator was crazy over it. Soon enough throughout the story the narrator was driven crazy over the vulture looking eye from the old man and decided to kill the old man. Although from the readers perspective it seems too look like the narrator was crazy, the narrator did not think so. The narrator had planned very meticulously over the thought of killing to old man and acted out on it. Once the deed was done, the police came by to check because a neighbor reported suspicious activity by the old man's home. The narrator let the police in the house to search it and the narrator had explained how the old man was gone to visit a friend out in the country and the police believed him. But the narrator's guilt got to him and put him on edge. He behaved more and more suspicious and finally let a cry out of admitting to killing the man because the narrator thought the policemen were on to him. The way that the mood affected me was that the narrator had begun to admit that he was a normal person, perfectly fine. But once the narrator put out the exposition it started to give out the expression that he was crazy and him denying that he wasn't crazy made the narrator even more suspicious. To conclude my claim, I see that narrator is genuinely crazy and that even though he convinced his own self and attempted to prove the reader he wasn't crazy, in the end he was.
