The main bone of contention between the two kingdoms of Lilliput and Blefuscu was the issue of breaking the eggs. One side (Blefuscu) believed in breaking it in the larger end while the other (Lilliput) opines it's to be done at the smaller end. With this never-ending issue, several wars have been fought too. And in preparation for war, Gulliver spied the "enemy’s fleet at anchor, consisting of about fifty men of war, and a great number of transports". This means that Blefuscu had a fleet of ships ready to attack Lilliput.  

The Blefuscans assembled a large navy. They also had help from rebel forces inside Lilliput.

These are fictional nations from the book Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. The Lilliputians are a neigbouring city to Blefuscu.

Due to disagreements in Lilliput, over a decree on how eggs should be broken, a rebellion broke out which was fuelled by the monarch of Blefuscu.

In the end, both cities would wage war against one another but the Lilliputians had Gulliver (the giant) on their side. He, however, works to bring the war to an end without any casualties on both sides.
