What should happen next in my story after this?
Seth’s POV:

I’m really not sure why I invited her here. Was it because of the bet or did I actually what to hang out with her? Was it just because my parents were arguing again and I needed to get out? What the heck.. of course it’s because of the bet and maybe because I wanted to get away from my parents. She is not fun and super rude. I’d never want to hang out with her on my own. This is definitely for the bet. All that laughter and ‘fun’ was totally fake. She’s still an annoying spoiled brat.. right? I really don’t know how to see her anymore because right now she looks really adorable feeding the ducks. She has a big smile on her face and she generally looks really happy. Happy suits her. What am I even saying? This is kinda bad, I’m actually having... fun. I even almost told her about my parents fighting.. she definitely can not know about that. She wouldn’t understand. While I’m deep in thought, I notice her dump the rest of the bag of bread crumbs in the pond and giggle. I like when she laughs. Wait, no I don’t. “Pretty boy! Dump the rest of your crumbs to the ducks!” I smile and do as she says. “My name is Seth. You can stop calling me pretty boy.” She looks at me with a grin and says, “You know, I think I like pretty boy better.” She laughs and I glare at her. That’s what I said to her earlier when Ava told me her name. “Well, I guess I am pretty.” I say in a confident tone. She looks at me and responds, “Not even close.” I glare at her some more. She’s definitely still mean and bratty. “Aww, did I make you mad?” She asks in a mocking tone. Of course she did but I’m not admitting that to her. I walk towards her and she stops laughing and asks, “What are you doing?” I grin at her secretly knowing that she’s going to hate me even more after I do this. I walk even closer and push her into the pond. She screams and she hits the water and is completely soaked. “Oh my gosh! What is wrong with you?! I hate you!” She screams at me but I’m too busy laughing to pay attention. The next thing I know, I’m in the pond too. She grabbed my leg and pulled me in. I should have seen that coming. Now she’s dying of laughter. “I can’t believe you just did that!” I say to her. She starts laughing again and through her laughter says, “Oh come on! You totally deserved that!” I smile and say, “I guess I did.” She giggles. That annoyingly adorable laugh she has is driving me crazy. “We should go, it’s getting late.” I say to her. “Yeah, probably.” She replies. We crawl out of the pond and we are drenched. “We are really wet, won’t your parents get mad if you ruin the car?” How does she know my parents still come to my place? Does she know about my family issues? Did she hear them fighting through the phone call? “Why are you talking about my parents? That’s none of your business and if you must know, the car is mine.” I snap at her. I hear her mumble, “And you call me a brat.” “Whatever, get in the car sunflower.” The wetness won’t bother my car, after all, it’s just water. It will dry. The whole way back to sunflower’s place is pretty quiet. None of us say a word. Finally, I pull up to her house and park the car. She gets out and I say, “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow sunflower.” “Yeah, see ya pretty boy.” She closes the car door and I watch her as she walks into her apartment.

What should happen next in this chapter? (Btw, Seth is the main guy in the story and Sila is the main girl. Seth made a bet on Sila to make her like him. They also do not get along at all)

Komodo Dragons are monsters. These beasts are monsters when they are not trained, and most of them are not. Most of them are not trained because they most likely don't have owners or a human to train them, sometimes even if they do, the humans do not get to train them.
One reason these Komodo Dragons are beasts is because they sit in the sun all the time and if your dog is walking around and a Komodo Dragons sees it, well the dog is probably your new space in the backyard next to Mr.down the toilet; fish so that is one reason. The second reason is, if you have any plants of any thing that has some fruits or vegetables they will come and eat your fruits and vegetables just because they want to most of the time they aren't even hungry they are like alligators they will eat till the stomachs explode because they aren't hungry they just want to eat everything they see. The last reason is if you want to go fishing and you have an Komodo Dragons in your neighborhood and there is very few fish in your lake, well most likely it was the Komodo Dragons but it could be the alligators or birds, another reason is because if you have small children or are one you might not want to get into an eye to eye battle with and Komodo Dragons because they sometimes eat what they see so you might become its snack.
If you come across one of these savage beasts you would want to look at it while you back up slowly until you are far enough till you know you can out run it. These beasts are as fast as an alligator so don't think that they won't catch you if you walk away with your eyes off it, it is like a situation with an alligator, you want to look at it and back up slowly till you are far enough distance till you know you can outrun it or if it is chasing you, you should run in zig zags until it tires out then run away to a safe place.
A way to prevent these beasts from being in sight. A way to prevent these from being around is by calling an animal control inspection to scope out where you live and make sure there are no Komodo Dragons or tracks of them either. A way to get rid of them if there are Komodo Dragons is to call animal control and tell them to come get it, but if it is too close to you for that then you want to make loud noises and make yourself as big as you can kind of like a bear.

Which two sentences in this excerpt from Ernest Hemingway's "In Another Country" show that medals and awards in war don’t always bring soldiers glory and acceptance?
The boys at first were very polite about my medals and asked me what I had done to get them. I showed them the papers, which were written in very beautiful language and full of fratellanza and abnegazione , but which really said, with the adjectives removed, that I had been given the medals because I was an American. After that their manner changed a little toward me, although I was their friend against outsiders. I was a friend, but I was never really one of them after they had read the citations, because it had been different with them and they had done very different things to get their medals. I had been wounded, it was true; but we all knew that being wounded, after all, was really an accident.

What would you do if you could fly? (at least 200 words)

Answers

I would go any where in the world :)

Answer:

A lot of people would hate you.

I mean, flying would be great! We all love bird’s-eye views of locations, so you’d be getting that anytime you wanted!

Of course, the problem would be that it might only be just you who can fly, and if it’s only you, then there will be someone who wants the powers you have. And since everyone wants to fly, almost everyone would want your powers.

Though there are people who want what others have already, when it comes to flying, it could be your downfall. You could be chased out of countries, and that would be an extreme hassle.

The worst part is that since you’re already a citizen of a country, you can’t just fly to other countries since you’d require a visa. As ridiculous as that sounds, that would be the reality. On top of that, you wouldn’t even be allowed to fly over your country as that is restricted airspace and requires a license to be flown over.

One way to make sure these laws don’t apply would be to disguise your identity, vigilante-style, but that would make you a serial trespasser, who would then be the prime target of the world police. You’d pretty much be screwed.

And if you flew too high, you’d run out of oxygen and pass out, and then you’d fall back to Earth and probably die. If you pushed hard enough to reach space, the vacuum would kill you instead, so you can leave Earth. If by some miracle you did and survived, then where would you go? You couldn’t enter the ISS, since they only open the airlock for astronauts, not random flying people. But getting to the ISS is virtually impossible because you would die before you got there, even if you could stay conscious.

Even though flying is great in concept, in reality, you’d be restricted by international laws and the other rules in place. There wouldn’t even be a point of being able to fly.
