It was a sunny afternoon in the spring of May 18th. It was a calm day. The people played around at the carousels, munched down cotton candy and had as much fun as possible awaiting for the legendary circus. It was all fun and games until a chubby auburn haired woman (who seemed too have a rather annoying obsession for pearls) started yelling loudly.
“What is the matter ma’am?” A girl dressed in a plaid yellow gown asked.
“HE STOLE MY MONEY! I gave Carlo two hundred dollars for a place backstage but he stole all my money and now is giving me a silly-
“Miss Lex I’m afraid we’ll have to throw you out..”
“I’m leaving then.” She replied calmly walking away with a suspicious smirk on her face.
“That was easy.” Carlo sighed adjusting his worn out attire.
However his relief didn’t last much long as by late evening time (when it was much darker) all the lights suddenly went off.
“Hey Dan! Go check the lighting will you?!” Carlo instructed a young lad who was grooming the lion.
Dan merely nodded then set off. By the time he was back to report someone had cut all the wires the place was bright enough. But it wasn’t the lights. It was the fire that the crowd had set everywhere.
“WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK! WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!” They chanted loudly.
“Dan! DAN!” A tiny voice whispered behind him and dragged him into a dark stuffy closet.
“Kit?!”
“They suddenly want their money back! As you can see they wish to burn down everything and everyone here!” Kit groaned
“Do you think Mr Carlo has anything to do with it. Or that auburn haired lady?”
“Well go ask him..”
Avoiding the angry crowd they searched every nook and cranny for their boss. Then Dan remembered that they hadn’t checked the auditorium for the circus.
And when they did check a terrible sight beheld their eyes.
Mr Carlo was in a ring tied to the pole on which the tightrope was tied to with huge burning flames and Miss Lex surrounding him.
“DAN...”
“Get the animals in the train Kit..now..I’ll get Mr Carlo from that ring..if we waste any second he’ll die.”
Kit nodded and scurried off away.
Dan plan was simple. Get a fire extinguisher. Get the flames out. Get Mr Carlo. Simple.
He got the fire extinguisher and was about to use it when he noticed it was empty. Me Carlo had probably ignored the fact that he was supposed to buy new ones.
His only choice was to climb up the tightrope and then give a courageous jump to Mr Carlo then get the fire extinguisher inside it.
He climbed up with great difficulty nearly toppling over into the flames before leaping into the ring.
He extinguished the fire then untied Mr Carlo and ran of together before Miss Lex could catch up.

I hope this helps! If it wasn’t what you asked for I can rewrite it !

SHARKS' TEETH
Langston Carter

The day we found the sharks' teeth was foggy and cool. Moisture hung in the air so thick you could almost see it sparkling in the dim sunlight. There were days, early in the summer like this one, where it seemed there was more water in the air than in the bay. We had beached the boat and stepped out on the recently cleared spit of land. The ground had a light dusting of white sand over an under layer of dried black mud. It looked like a recently frosted chocolate cake, though the frosting was spread a bit thin for my taste. The ground was solid, but we knew from experience that it was full of fiddler crab holes, and would be underwater at the first super-high tide. Mysteriously, to us anyway, someone wanted to build a house there.

We often came to these spots to look for artifacts. Our beach, our summer home, had been a fishing camp for as long as anyone living could remember. The oldest stories told of travelers coming down to the edge of the sea, lining up to fill their wagon beds with salted fish to take back home. Old decaying cabins still lined the beach. Rotting nets, hung out to dry in the last century, decorated their weathered walls. Their broken faces spun stories in our minds. The fishermen who, tanned and wrinkled from sun and salt, hauled their nets full of splashing mullet in to cheers from the waiting crowds. The bounty of the sea lightened everyone's hearts, and the smell of roasting fish filled the damp air. Women fanned themselves from wagon seats. Children splashed in the shallow edges of the bay. It was a scene we had acted out as youngsters, building an imaginary bridge to a life we would never fully know.

Tyger, tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And, when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee?
Tyger, tyger, burning bright

Which poetic device describes the end rhymes in this stanza from the poem "A narrow Fellow in the Grass"?
The Grass divides as with a Comb,
A spotted Shaft is seen,
And then it closes at your Feet
And opens further on -

Answers

Answer:

I would say, that it's A spotted Shaft is seen

Explanation:

The Grass divides as with a Comb, that poetic device describes the end rhymes in this stanza from the poem "A narrow Fellow in the Grass". The correct option is A.

Which poetic devices describe the repetition in these two lines from the poem a narrow fellow in the grass?

As an alternative to formal rhyme, Dickinson frequently used alliteration and other repeated vowel and consonant sounds within and across lines and stanzas. In this poem, for example, the repeated sound "s" suggests a snake slithering.

The pattern of sounds that repeats at the end of a line or stanza is referred to as a rhyme scheme. Rhyme schemes can change from line to line, stanza to stanza, or throughout the poem. The image of a snake encounter in Emily Dickinson's 1865 poem "A narrow Fellow in the Grass" explores the nature of fear and anxiety, particularly the fear of deception. This snake, like the proverbial "snake in the grass," is a sly, treacherous threat.

Thus, the ideal selection is option A.
