Write an argumentative editorial that argues for or against young people's ability to initiate positive change in their communities.

Introduction - Have you ever helped out your local community before? Young people should be able to initiate positive change in their
communities because it is beneficial for everyone and the environment. Young people are always open to new ideas, which
means a lot of positive acts can brighten up communities. Although young people tend to lack experience and can act
immature, that doesn't mean the rest of the inspirational children shouldn't have a say. I will argue that young people should
be able to spread positive change in communities.

My question is, what are some good reasons to back up the reasons why young people should have the ability to initiate positive change in their communities?

Answers

Answer 1
Young people should have the ability to initiate positive change in their communities because young people are the future of this planet, and they should be given more opportunities to learn, grow, and help this world. Young people need to be taught the valuable lessons of hard work by helping their community sustain itself through mowing lawns, cleaning the parks of litter, or power washing driveways. Doing some sort of activity, whether strenuous or subtle, to benefit the community, helps you grow as a person and provides you to build the mindset for future success in life.

I have a riddle

Tool of thief, toy of queen.
Always used to be unseen.
Sign of joy, sign of sorrow.
Giving all likeness borrowed.
What is it?

Easier, a public riddle. BUT I SWEAR DO NOT LOOK IT UP!!!!

Answers

Answer:

I believe it may be a mask...? This is due to the fact that people like to wear a "mask" (metaphorically speaking) to fake their happiness and hide their sorrow, but other people do not realize that they are faking it. Also, the "thief" part may be representing the person who wears it, as they are kind of stealing other's worries away so they won't have to worry about them, if that makes sense. And the toy of queen may mean how it's usually the people who are most respected fake their happiness, like how they say the funny friend is the most depressed. And the giving all likeliness borrowed is more about faking emotions.

Also, I love the picture of Alastor you added. :D

Based on the time period, language, and analogies used in the lecture, who can
you infer to be Huxley's primary audience?

Answers

Hello. You did not say what Huxley's lecture the question is about, which makes it impossible for me to give you an exact answer. However, to help you, I will show you ways that will show you how to find the audience that Huxley intended to reach.

First, it is important that you keep in mind that the language used in the words must take into account the age, profession, gender and degree of knowledge of the intended audience. Thus, if the audience intended by Huxley were school children, he must have used clear, simple and direct language, without technical terms and without a refined and elegant language.

The same language can be used with an audience made up of people who are not scientists, but who are interested in what Huxley can say. However, here language can be a little more formal, but still understandable and easy.

If Huxley wants to speak to other scientists, he can use technical and specific terms, a highly refined and normal language and the presentation of specific terms, which are difficult and often subjunctive.

If the audience that Huxley wants to reach are students, he must present a less formal, direct and introductory language, where many concepts are explained.

Read this excerpt from a speech that Maurice is writing about the topic of football in middle school.

The sport of football should be banned in middle school. Many people disagree with this position. They think football is popular and should continue to be played. _____ I don’t think children in middle school should be given the choice about possibly harming their health.

Which best addresses the counterclaim that “football should be played in middle school” and belongs in the blank space in Maurice’s speech?

A. I’ve watched a lot of football with my dad and brother, and I understand why people like football, as it can be really exciting.

B. I’ve always thought football was a silly sport, with the players trying to knock each other down all the time.

C I understand that people love football, just as they love baseball and all other ball sports, but not everyone loves football.

D. I respect that people love football, but doctors are saying now that many players get head injuries, and the helmets don’t help prevent those very well.

The statement I understand that people love football, just as they love baseball and all other ball sports, but not everyone loves football best addresses the counterclaim in Maurice's speech.

What is written in the Maurice's speech?

E. M. Forster wrote a book called Maurice. It follows Maurice Hall from his early years in school through his time at university and beyond in this story about homosexual love in early 20th-century England.

The story takes place in the years prior to World War I, when homosexuality was illegal in Britain and revealing one's sexual orientation would result in shame and ruin.

The limitations imposed by a class-conscious society and their effects on individuals are the subject of the novel. Forster argues that the upper class is stifled by social expectations of their class, limiting their capacity to love or connect authentically with anyone.

Although her dream of flying started when she was very young, Collins's parents didn't have enough money for flying lessons. So she waited
until she was old enough to get a job and save money. Finally, at the age of 19, Collins started flying. "Ever since then, I wanted to fly more
airplanes and go farther and faster and higher and do more," she says. Then the problem of money came up again. Unable to afford an
expensive four-year college, Collins attended a two-year community college, later winning a two-year scholarship to Syracuse University. She
majored in mathematics, ignoring all those who said it wasn't cool or feminine to study math. She earned masters degrees. Then, she joined

It wasn't torture, exactly, but it wasn't very comfortable, either.

"Look at your legs hanging there," Goemon said.

"It is a strange way to sit!" Manjiro agreed.

"If you were a real samurai, you would commit seppuku now, rather than wait to be humiliated by the barbarians," Goemon said.

How does the narrator's hearing affect the story?

Answers

Answer:

Sometimes the narrator has an opinion on things and takes sides. But if most people agree on a choice, the narrator usually agrees too. For example, in a fairy tale, snow white fell asleep and most people wanted snow to wake up. (The dwarves) But only the evil queen and her servants wanted her to die. SO if the narrator said

"Snow white was so dramatic and sad and she was so useless. The evil queen on the other hand, deserves to win and she is amazing."

People wouldn't want to read it because the opinion is not very popular.

Answer:

The best reasonable way to extend the life of Product Z is:

Add new features to the existing product to "recharge demand" for Product Z.

Explanation:

The above option (unlike others) will ensure that the new features increase the market demand for Product Z.  These new features must consider the needs of customers.  Adding new features should not be for the sake of modifying or prolonging the life of the product but for the sake of satisfying customers' needs.  Therefore, customers' requirements must be ascertained and incorporated in Product Z.

excerpt from "Rain in Summer" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

How beautiful is the rain!
After the dust and heat,
In the broad and fiery street,
In the narrow lane,
How beautiful is the rain!

How it clatters along the roofs,
Like the tramp of hoofs
How it gushes and struggles out
From the throat of the overflowing spout!

Across the window-pane
It pours and pours;
And swift and wide,
With a muddy tide,
Like a river down the gutter roars
The rain, the welcome rain!

In the country, on every side,
Where far and wide,
Like a leopard's tawny and spotted hide,
Stretches the plain,
To the dry grass and the drier grain
How welcome is the rain! What is the meaning of the simile in stanza 4?
