2. Reread this section of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
After supper she got out her book and learned me about Moses and the Bulrushers, and I was in a sweat to find out all about him; but by and
by she let it out that Moses had been dead a considerable long time; so then I didn't care no more about him, because I don't take no stock in
dead people.
What does this section reveal about the character Huck's perspective on education?
He feels that a good education is necessary for his happiness.
O He believes that education is valuable because
makes people wealthy.
O He only values education when it provides relevant, useful information
He doesn't think that lessons should include religious figures.
D. He only values education when it provides relevant, useful information
He doesn't think that lessons should include religious figures.
This is the answer because it says he was in a sweat to find out all about him meaning he was really interested in learning all about him but the section also says I then did not care anymore about him because he was dead so I think it makes the most sense to pick D.
The given section of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn infers that Huck was less interested in religious figures and only values education when it provides relevant information. Therefore, (D) is the correct option.
What is Education?Education is an institution through which society imparts knowledge about relevant things to its members in order to make them prepared for employment and also it helps them to lead a meaningful life.
Huck feels that religious figures should not be included in the lessons and there should be only relevant lessons. Therefore, (D) is the correct option.

Letter to a Citizen of Kentucky, an excerpt
Executive Mansion, Washington,
April 4, 1864.
A. G. Hodges, Esq., Frankfort, Ky.
My Dear Sir:
You ask me to put in writing the substance of what I verbally stated the other day, in your presence, to Governor Bramlette and Senator Dixon. It was about as follows:
I am naturally anti-slavery. If slavery is not wrong nothing is wrong. I cannot remember when I did not so think and feel; and yet I have never understood that the Presidency conferred upon me an unrestricted right to act officially in this judgment and feeling. It was in the oath I took that I would to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. I could not take the office without taking the oath. Nor was it in my view that I might take the oath to get power, and break the oath in using the power.
I understood, too, that in ordinary civil administration this oath even forbade me to practically indulge my primary abstract judgment on the moral question of slavery. I had publicly declared this many times and in many ways; and I aver that, to this day I have done no official act in mere deference to my abstract judgment and feeling on slavery. I did understand, however, that my oath to preserve the Constitution to the best of my ability imposed upon me the duty of preserving, by every indispensable means, that government, that nation, of which that Constitution was the organic law. Was it possible to lose the nation, and yet preserve the Constitution?
By general law, life and limb must be protected; yet often a limb must be amputated to save a life, but a life is never wisely given to save a limb. I felt that measures, otherwise unconstitutional, might become lawful by becoming indispensable to the preservation of the Constitution through the preservation of the nation. Right or wrong, I assumed this ground, and now avow it. I could not feel that to the best of my ability I had even tried to preserve the Constitution, if, to save slavery, or any minor matter, I should permit the wreck of government, country, and Constitution altogether.
When, early in the war, General Fremont attempted military emancipation, I forbade it, because I did not then think it an indispensable necessity. When, a little later, General Cameron, then Secretary of War, suggested the arming of the blacks, I objected, because I did not yet think it an indispensable necessity. When, still later, General Hunter attempted military emancipation, I forbade it, because I did not yet think the indispensable necessity had come. When, in March and May and July, 1862, I made earnest and successive appeals to the Border States to favor compensated emancipation, I believed the indispensable necessity for military emancipation and arming the blacks would come, unless averted by that measure. They declined the proposition; and I was, in my best judgment, driven to the alternative of either surrendering the Union, and with it the Constitution, or of laying strong hand upon the colored element. I chose the latter. In choosing it, I hoped for greater gain than loss; but of this I was not entirely confident...
Yours truly,
A. Lincoln

Answer:
The syllogism is correct.
Explanation:
Syllogism is a term created by Aristoteles to designate conclusions that are drawn from premises. According to him, the syllogism presents a perfect logical argument, because it is built on a deductive argument through statements that support, justify and confirm that the conclusion is correct.
In the case of the arguments shown in the question above, we can say that the syllogism is correct. This is because we started with the argument that university graduates are potential wage-earners, so anyone who is not a university graduate is not a possible wage-earners, like high-school graduates and no high school graduates .

Submit the story you wrote from one of the other character's point of view. At the end of the story, answer the question:
How did the story change when another character told the story?
WRITER
Answer:
Original story: Cinderella
Have you ever heard of the story of a poor girl who had to scrub the floors every day and was not allowed to attend Prince Charming’s ball while the ugly sisters and their mother mistreated her? Remember when the Prince married her because she was the only one who could fit into the glass slipper? Pathetic. A bag of lies, all spun up into a big tangle, just to keep the people happy that their dear little princess was as sweet as sugar.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Anastasia, the step-sister of Cinderella. No, not the ugly, ill-mannered, greedy step-sister of Cinderella. You have got it all wrong. I am not the ally of Drizella, nor the villain of the story. It was all Drizella’s fault. Let me explain my side of the story, the true story of Cinderella...
“Ugh, why is the floor so dirty! Did you even do your job properly? This is such poor-quality work!” Drizella complained as Cinderella was on her knees mopping the floor. “Why don’t you do it then! Stop grumbling and maybe if you shut that mouth of yours and did something useful, the floor would be cleaner than your teeth!” Cinderella countered. Drizella’s dramatic gasp signalled something along the lines of “offended”. Cinderella merely gave her a smirk and continued mopping.
“Ouch! Why did you do that? Arghh!” Cinderella’s screeches could be heard from outside the door. I sighed. This was the fifth time they were arguing over something minor, today. Ella and Drizella have been squabbling sisters since they were together. I was neither of them; I was a nice, polite girl who was Mother’s favourite. I groaned as I shoved my hands over my ears and slowly opened my door, only to see the two sisters grabbing each other by their hair, shrieking and at the same time scratching the other whenever they had the chance. As usual, I called out to my mother from across the house, “Mom! Drizella and Ella are fighting again!” before taking a deep breath and dived into the fight in an attempt to stop them from ‘killing’ each other.
Our chance to be rescued from this mess came when one day, the Prince’s messenger went around the entire town to pass an important message: The Prince was inviting all maidens to a ball at his castle where he was going to choose his bride! It was the perfect way to separate one sister from the other if the Prince fell for any of them. If. The problem is, how are we going to convince the Prince to marry Ella or Drizella considering their nasty behaviours, and disorderly conduct?
Upon stepping onto the marble floor of the Prince’s courtroom, Drizella and Ella had literally turned into little angels with their small faces and twinkling eyes. There was not a single trace of disobedience in them. It was as though they had changed into a completely different person. As Prince Charming walked past them, Drizella and Ella even curtsied! It was obvious they both wanted the Prince for themselves.
It was at this time that the Prince laid his eyes on Ella. Something looked different about Ella, it was as though her dress was always sparkling or her glass slippers gleaming under the chandelier... Soon, they were waltzing gracefully in the middle of the ballroom, leaving everyone standing in the corner, mouth agape, green with envy.
You got the events that took place after that right. However, just as the Grand Duke was letting Ella try on the glass slipper, Drizella gave Mother a push and the Grand Duke tripped on her leg, causing the glass slipper to fly out of the cushion. It crashed into a million pieces with a high pitched “clink!” as everyone’s mouth went agape while Drizella grinned with delight. It was all Drizella’s fault! Fortunately, Cinderella had kept the other glass slipper and it fitted her perfectly. The wedding was held the next day and I even got the wedding flower from her.
You see, I did not even play a part in all the trouble. I was even over the moon when Ella was married to Prince Charming since that meant Mother need not worry about affording to raise three daughters anymore! You could say everything worked out in the end, but Cinderella was not exactly the type of person who would forgive easily, especially Drizella. Now that you read about my side of the story, do you still think that I am the bad guy? Or was I just dragged into the mess?
Explanation:
The story changed such that the reputation of Cinderella being innocent and her step-sisters being the "bad" ones were twisted and when this happens, the step-sister would have felt being blamed for something she did not do and the tone of the entire story would have been impacted and although the details were more or less the same, it could give light on how different characters viewed them separately. Another thing would be that the characters might have put the emphasis on some parts of the story or omit other details so as to justify themselves so that might be something that changed the story itself.

As you read the story summary below, try to identify the author’s purpose for writing the story.
On an intolerably hot August day, an artist draws a sketch from imagination. The picture shows a criminal who has just been sentenced in court and appears devastated by the verdict. Later, the artist goes for a walk in the unrelenting heat and wanders into the workshop of a stonemason. To his dismay, the stonemason looks exactly like the criminal in his sketch. Even more shocking, the model headstone that the stonemason has been carving bears the name of the artist and the current day’s date. Shaken by the coincidences, the men agree that the artist should stay put until midnight to avoid any possible accidents outside. The story ends with the two men sitting in silence as the stonemason sharpens his tools in August heat that is “enough to send a man mad.”
Which of the following describes the author’s most likely purpose?
A. to warn that men should not handle sharp tools in extreme conditions
B. to convince the reader that August heat can drive people insane
C. to explore the concept of fate while creating a mood of horror
D. to explore a situation in which an artist has been driven mad by heat
Answer: C. to explore the concept of fate while creating a mood of horror .

How do outside forces (society, biology, privilege, school, etc) influence your belief on fate vs free will
please someone help urgently NOTE YOUR RESPONSE MUST BE AT LEAST ONE PARAGRAPH
Answer:
There are two main positions in the world regarding spirituality and the existence of higher entities: the one that establishes that faith in a divinity is a way to achieve objectives with the help of that higher being, which guides individuals on the path of the religions; and the one that maintains that free will is ultimately what regulates the results of men's actions, as only these can determine their destiny through their actions.
Today, society, educational and religious institutions, science and even the socioeconomic conditions of each person determine the way in which they think about the issue, and what position they take on it. Thus, for example, education in science, biology, physics and other branches of the natural sciences advocates the path of free will, seeking rational explanations for natural phenomena, with which the individual immersed in this environment is most likely not religious; while those people raised in more conservative environments, with a more humanistic approach or focused on the social sciences will most likely defend the path of faith as the one through which greater personal development is achieved.
